War on Virus

War on Virus

A' Design Award and Competition organizes a custom competition to unite all creative minds to fight with the pandemic at hand.

As a world, it is true we are going through pretty uncertain times and together we are working our way toward the “new normal”. In support of tackling the global coronavirus pandemic, A’ Design Award and Competition has initiated a special competition for this year to invite all the creatives to work together to fight with COVID-19.
The design has the power to improve the world and make a positive impact on society with innovative solutions and with the special “War on Virus” competition, A’ Design Award and Competition hopes to bring creatives together and share their message with the world. Giving your message, sharing your good idea can be challenging when you are an individual designer or a small firm, that is where A’ Design Award and Competition is willing to step in to help good ideas to be promoted and the name of these valuable creators are heard.
Joining War on Virus competition can help students, professionals, companies, and institutions to reach a wider audience to communicate their message and it is a step to create a global awareness all around the world. Every idea matters on the path to make the world a safer, healthier, and better place.
A’ Design Award and Competition is offering a publicity and promotion grant worth of 5.000.000 EUR which will be distributed among the selected 5.000 designs. Selected designs and the designers will be promoted internationally. The competition has 133 categories, from Personal Protective Wear, Medical Devices, Research Equipment to Digital Technologies, and special competition is open to submission for all. Just make sure you select War on Virus category when you are submitting your work.
A’ Design Award and Competition wants to reward good ideas further with the pro-edition and digital nomination tickets to ensure further promotion of their work within the competition. War on Virus winners will receive one (1) pro edition A’ Design Award nomination ticket, and very good designs will get further three (3) digital tickets, all selected works will also get a special "War on Virus" winner certificate. Since winners are granted A’ Design Award Pro Edition Nomination Tickets, they will, therefore, be eligible for obtaining the A’ Design Prize for 2020-2021 edition, provided they submit a design for nomination (using their nomination tickets).
All the entries will be based on three fundamental criteria. The design should address to the pandemic situation at hand and it should make sense. For concept ideas, it is important for the design to be feasible and for finished products to be affordable or reasonably priced.
Considering the depth of the situation at hand, the entries can be from various categories. Everyone’s creative mind can produce an idea to tackle one part of the problem. Are you a furniture designer? Why not think about furniture that is easy to clean and sanitize? Or try to design products with integrated sanitization methods to facilitate our life in the new normal?
Architects can contribute to pre fabric hospital design ideas, medical buildings, or sanitary care units that are affordable and fast to install; packaging designers can try to develop packages that will prevent touch contamination, etc. You can choose to focus any of the fields you wish to: you can try to improve the smart working experience, create innovative entertainment ideas for the days spent at home, you can try to find solutions to help medical workers in the field.
War on Virus
It has been a tough few months for all of us but together we can dream and build a better future. Do you want to join War on Virus design competition and make a difference? Then make sure you check the official competition announcement page and submit your work before the 30th of July, 2020.
