Milan Design Week 2016 - via Tortona

Fuorisalone is an experience that a designer can not be avoided. Many stand, one more interesting than the other, are set for each design category. 180 events are taking place in the historic Zona Tortona circuit of the most interesting and the ones that struck me most, I council Citizen, Lexus, Citroen and Samsung. Highly recommended the setting up Citizen that seems to catapult the viewer into a parallel universe.

The more intense pavilion is Citizen. A clash between life and time. "Time is time," reads the outer statement. It is divided into two areas, the first where time is central, the second where time scans hour by hour and is now divided into twelve different points, each with its own meaning.

The Samsung pavilion is interesting for its new concept of television. it's enough with ultra-thin television that are invisible to the side. It returns to a living room where the television needs its own living space within the room. Different sizes and different colors allow you to insert television in any environment, even as simple furnishings.

New design of lamps. pendants geometric shapes resemble diamonds, with a beautiful line at the entrance of the stand: "We live in the dark waiting for the black becomes shadow . Shadow covered in bright motes non-irradiated ... "Almost an invitation to meditate while watching the projected light from the lamps.

The Lexus pavillion was one of the most interesting for interaction with people. The nylon's strands forms the new prototype hydrogen cars. they are stretch; it is a good idea to grab attention. The last part provides a glimpse passing through a room where there are geometric shapes in constant motion.

Urban design uses a resin for compacting various types of stones that have very different colors from each other. These plates can be of different sizes, very small or very large and depending on the thickness of the sheet let water pass. These plates were used already in some Italian squares. Queste lastre sono state utilizzate già in alcune piazze italiane.

Ebaylab is equally interesting. Often the services are not tangible, you can not understand what people think about it. When you read that a tool is sold every 60 seconds you can better understand the magnitude and the reach of this service.

Celebratory Stand for Ton with tweedledee tied to a chair. Great marketing gimmick for a strong and stable product: a better way to represent him was not there. Too bad we could not use ...

Victorian and Albert Museum have at their disposal a beautiful space where they decide not to talk about objects, architecture or design in the true terimine of the word, but decide to figure out what can get the inspiration for a designer through an interactive display in the form comic. Interesting and quirky. Interessante e stravagante.

Charles Haumont decides to think about the worst case: a nuclear catastrophe. Invent some items to purify water that they are essential to the survival of the place struck and even a mask to avoid inhaling radioactive agents. As you hope you never have to use it, better be prepared.

Citroen's stand very playful, with so many swings placed at the side of the Emehari prototype, built in a unique pattern. Really nice, technological and above all keeps the soul of the first model. Inside it is also a chair that uses the same material mounted on the doors of the Citroen cactus to prevent bloom.

Japanese Stand, small, basic, just like their culture and the projects and the products within it. Elaborate joints's tables without having to add any screws, only through highly effective joints, but beyond a bit 'from the concept of design and are closer to a craft product and in fact the prices are in line with luxury products for this reason. So I take this into consideration this joint very simple and economically sustainable.

Joint is a seat that struck me for the incredibly strange and difficult structure to explain in words, but which I think is very useful to create modular products and itself it is also very convenient and you can fit in any environment for such a neutral color and a mild form that does not weigh down the view.

Low Pad has been called. It reminds very much the iPad's cover, both for the name that the shape which is obtained. in different density wood frame, metal feet and padding in different density polyurethane, without arm rests. Very modern, it could also be allocated to the contract sector.

The Range Rover creates an external structure of his new evoque cabrio yellow metal, very showy and equally appreciated, especially a very well thought out choice because a few hundred meters below shows the real machine: with a small selection error in my opinion, they should change the color of the metal structure in yellow or red.

Coontemporary Mood uses completely scraps of architectural and engineering branch. By means of a dough that glue joins different colored materials used as tiles in the walls of houses and is the glue to create the white decoration or, as in this case, black between the various tiles. This table has the metal feet screwed in the same tile.

Within the Pepsi Pavilion, cleverly set up, we find a 500 designed specifically for that pavilion by Lapo Elkann through his company Italian Independent. It has playful and non-trivial pattern on a predominantly blue car, with red details such as mirrors, rims and some of the bumper reasons: colors specially chosen for Pepsi precisely.

Ezri Tarazi creates a tea table that depending on where you lean the glasses and how many are these glasses. It emits a continuous melody that suddenly accelerate when you lift the tea's pot . Also interesting is the shape that reminiscent a geographical territory and in fact the name given to him is "Maquam", that literally means place.
